The given chart shows the total time spent by UK citizens on telephone calls, expressed in three categories, during eight years from 1995-2002.
Looking over this chart we can mention that mobile calls are the least favourite option for UK people. But we can still see a slow growth of time spent on them during 6 years, from less than 10 billion minutes in 1995 to 20 billion in 2000, but after that, there was a dramatic rise to almost 50 billion minutes just in two years.
National and international fixed-line calls were smoothly growing, without any shock events, from about 40 billion to 60 billion for past eight years.
Local fixed-line calls can official be called the leaders of this top, overcoming other 3 types of calling. From 1995 to 1999 were rising significantly, startting at 70 billion and ending at 90 billion. But after a shocking growth there was a dificult time for them, falling down during 3 years from 90 billion to nearly 70 billion calls.
To summarize, without a doubt local fixed-line calls were still the most popular option in 2002, the difference in numbers between the three categories had become not that big.
