The given line graph compares how many minutes of calls made by Denmark residents using three different types of calls namely National Landline, International Landline and Mobile over a decade starting from 1995. The data is calibrated in a million minutes.
Overall, the figures for the international landline and mobile had experienced a rise throughout the given period. However, mobile calls demonstrated the most striking change in the volume of it, compared to international landline which grew marginally, whilst the national landline had witnessed a sharp decrease.
Focusing on the categories which had increased during the given years, one of them, international landline had seen a steady growth, albeit minimally starting at six million minutes of calls at the beginning of the period, it went slowly to approximately 8 million minutes of calls in the final year. Regarding mobile calls, it commenced as the least popular mode of correspondents with fewer than one million in 1995, nevertheless, after 2000, the rise process had accelerated and this category had tripled before reaching nearly 12 million in 2005.
The most unexpected change had been recorded for the option of national landline which had been the most preferred type of calls in Denmark in 1995 with 12 000 000. Until 2001 the volume of calls had grown gradually to about 16 million minutes, yet, it was followed by an abrupt drop to its lowest point of 8 million minutes of calls, almost approaching international landline.
