The line graph illustrates the total number of calls in three different categories—national landline, international landline, mobile—in Denmark, measured in million minutes, between 1995 and 2004. Overall, while the figure for mobile and international landline saw upward trends over the period, the reverse was true for national landline, which experienced a considerable decline throughout the given span. It is also clear that the amount of telephone calls for the mobile section stood out among other categories with its major shift in the final year.
Focusing on the increased figures first, mobile category started at about 1 million minutes in 1995; this figure then increased noticeably to 3 million in 2000, before reaching a high of 10 million minutes at the end of the period. Similarly, the figure for international landline also increased. Starting at just 6 million in 1995, the total volume of telephone calls for international landlines rose slightly to approximately 8 million in 2004.
By contrast, the figure for national landlines exhibited a different change. Despite increasing considerably from 12 million to 16 million in 2001, national landline calls dropped dramatically to just about 8 million at the end of the period.
