The line graph illustrates the proportion of expenditure in Turkey between 1960 and 2000, including food, leisure, clothing, transport, and energy.

Overall, the percentage of spending leisure, transport, and energy decrease gradually, whereas clothing increase moderately. By contrast,t the percentage of food experienced a significant fall.

Upon closer inspection, in 1960 the proportion of food stood at 9 and this way followed by a stead increase. from 1960 to 1980 the percentage rise from 9 to 15. In 2000, it reached about 17 percent.

In stark contrast, the percentage of energy was 5 and dramaicly declain to 1, while transport decrease steadily between 1960 and 1990, and sharply fall to about 3 percent in 2000. The proportion of spent on leisure dipped for 9 percent during the period. In 1960, food expenditure accounted for the largest percentage, but experienced a considerably decrease from 32 percent in 1980, to 15 percent in 2000.
