The bar chart and the table display the export earnings and the percentage change in values during the period 2015-2016 in the different categories – petroleum products, engineered goods, gems and jewellery, agricultural products, and textiles.
On one side, the graph indicates an increase of the product category if years 2015 and 2016 are compared. In almost all cases, the income coming from the aforementioned goods has experimented a slight growth. Petroleum products and engineered goods, kept raising for a year, as so did agriculturual products and textiles. Nevertheless, these last two did it with an amount that did barely overtake 30 billion dollars.
The remaining one, gems and jewellery, have suffered from the opposite: the earnings turned out to be less significant in 2016. Still, they continued in third position, as the exports meant more than 40 billion dollars of the export earnings in all the period.
On the other side, the previously given information is also supported by the table, that shows in terms of perceptions how much has the percentage changed in each category in 2016 compared with 2016. As already confirmed, four out of five categories benefited the earnings as they increased betwen 0.81 and 15.24% (being textiles the most increased ones, and agricultural ones the least), while the declination of 5.18 points of gems and jewellery confirms the worsen of this good from one year to the other.
