The value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016, along with the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared to 2015, is illustrated in the two images below.
As can be clearly seen from the first bar chart, export earnings are categorized into two years, 2015 and 2016. The second chart displays the product categories for each year.
Starting with the first chart, the export earnings are sorted from the highest to the lowest. Petroleum products generated approximately $60 billion in 2015 and increased to $62 billion in 2016. It is evident that petroleum products earned the highest revenue for both years. Next are engineered goods, which secured second place, growing to $57 billion. There are only two other product categories that exceeded $50 billion: gems and jewelry, and agricultural products. Textiles have shown a downward trend, falling below $45 billion for both 2015 and 2016.
Moving to the second image, which clearly depicts the proportions for each product category, textiles lead the ranking with a percentage of 15.24% from 2015 to 2016. The other categories have settled at lower percentages, around 5.18%, 8.5%, 0.81%, and 3%.
