The bar chart shows the value of a country’s exports in different categories during 2015 and 2016. The table illustrates the percentage change over the same period.
Overall, all products that the country exported increased in value, with the exception of gems and jewelry, which dropped in value. The most significant increases were recorded by two products: textiles and engineered goods. Notably, the value of petroleum and engineered goods was high compared with agricultural products and textiles, although the latter increased the most.
The country experienced a rise in exporting goods. Particularly, both petroleum and engineered goods were exported the most, for a price of $62 billion in 2016 compared to $61 and $58 billion in 2015. Similar changes were experienced by both textiles and agricultural products. Remarkably, textiles stood at $24 billion in 2015, which was the lowest of that year, and the difference between textiles and agriculture was the most pronounced, with $31 billion in agriculture. But in 2016 they reached a similar value of $32 billion in exports. Unlike the others, only gems and jewelry witnessed a fall in export value from $42 to $40 billion during the period.
As far as percentage changes are concerned, the highest percentage increase was in textiles with 15.24% over the course of the year, which was nearly double the value change in engineered goods at 8.5%, followed by petroleum goods at 3%. The lowest change in value was represented by agricultural goods with a 0.81% increase, while gems and jewelry demonstrated a decrease (5.18%) in their value.
