The bar chart illustrates rubbish which was disposed in one of European countries, by the way of landfill, burning and dumping at sea from 2005 to 2008.
It is clear from the graph, that mostly used method was by landfill in the initial years. Landfilled waste was on its highest point with 1800 million tonnes. Burning trash was following it, having approximately 900 million tonnes. And the least used way was dumping at sea, with only 600 million tonnes of waste.
Starting from 2005 when disposal by landfill was one of the most convenient and popular methods. By surging at 1800 million tonnes. While burning witnessed the lowest level at around 400-500 and dumping at sea with 600 million tonnes respectively. However, in the next year the average amount of dispose decreased to 1200 million tonnes. Buning and dumping at sea a t this time were balanced. The process of dumping garbage at sea remained stable. Whereas burning went to increased marginally. Surprisingly, in 2007 landfilled waste lessened to 900 million of tonnes. In addition, burning gradually caught up with landfill disposal by having 700 million tonnes. Whereas dumping at sea was not progressed and continued to stay unchanged. Although,landfill was on its peak by 2008 it decline and had almost similar standings with the way of dumping at sea. What stands out is the rose of burning to 900 million tonnes and top out.
