Overall, most categories followed upward trends, while the opposite was true for mobile/cell phones. In addition, although mobile/cell phones dominated from 2000 to 2007, they fell sharply to the lowest rank in the graph.

Regarding the categories experiencing upward trends, landlines started at nearly 9% in the first examined year, after which its figure increased steadily to 20% in 2008. Internet also adopted a somewhat similar pattern, albeit at more immense extent, with its figure rising from around 1% to roughly 20.5% in 2008, surpassing landlines in that year. In addition, the percentage of people using fixed broadband was 0% in 1998, but increased to around 15% and slightly decreased to about 14%.
