The bar chart shows the number of trips made by the citizens of an unspecified European country for various reasons in an unknown year.
Overall, men generally took more trips than women. Notably, males dominated work-related travel, while females made considerably more shopping-related trips.
The business-purpose trips stood out as the most prominent type of travel for men, with nearly 330, while just 210 women travelled for this purpose. Despite this, the gap in recreational and single-day visit figures was relatively smaller; women made around 130 leisure journeys and 25 excursions, whereas men only recorded about ten more in each category.
Turning to retail-purpose travel, the majority of females clearly took more journeys when it came to shopping, with approximately 275 trips, whilst just about 190 were taken by males. The disparity between men’s and women’s travel figures was noticeably lower in social visits, though, compared to consumer errands, where the former reported 205 and the latter 195.
