The bar chart demostrates the number UK citizens dead by a hear attack throughout the period from 2000 to 2016.
According to the “25-44” age category, the people in it were affected the least by the heart attack, having a huge gap between them and the other age category. In the first half of the period, the number of men and woman from the previously mentioned category remained nearly the same, accounting for just below 10 thousands each. On the other hand, at the second half of the period the number of man suffering from the heart attack increased to exactly 20 thousands, while the cases of women having such health issue remained nearly the same.
Regarding the older age group, even though both men and women were demonstrating an upward trend all over the period, the number of men affected from the heart attack rose significantly more than women’s. The number of men suffering from the heart issues has shown a notiable grow from nearly 50 to around 110 thousands by the end of the period. In contrast, there was a more slight grow of the number of woman dying from the heart attack, increasing from just over 40 to about 65 thousands of cases of the heart attacks.
Overall, it is clear from the chart that men are suffering from the heart attack more than women, especially when they become older. In addition, the gap between men and women in both age categories was growing significantly all over the period.
