Overall, the big difference between female and male on the profession that they both choose were Teaching and Therapists, which were mostly preferred by women, and Construction, mostly done by men. Scientists and Law had a similar proportion in both sex, whereas Advertising were slightly more selected by female workers. Lastly, Journalism was the only career equally preferred by both genres.
Teaching and Therapists were the two most selected fields by female workers in UK in 2007, reaching up to 90% and over 80% respectively. Those were followed by Advertising, which about 55% of the workers were females. In the other hand, Construction was the most career preferred by men , being the proportion as the opposite as Teaching, hence 90% of executives in this field were men. Moreover, the rest of professions on the list were made mostly by men, as Scientist and Law, with 60% and 55% respectively, except for Journalism, where the quantity of both sex in this career were exactly the same
