The chart illustrate the distributive proportion of money spent in the music industry over the past three years: 2005, 2008, and 2011 in northern ireland.
It can be clearly seen that there are three years had different uses of money in music. In 2005, most of money was spent on concert, and went down slighty in 2008, while digital downloads increased rapidly before becoming the first-ranked of spent in 2011.
According to the chart, it demonstrates the changing trend of investing on music. The digital downloads’ figure was 6%, and grew by 19% to stand at 25%, which higher than concerts at 2% after 3 years. Then, the digital downloads’ percentage growth continously, and peaked at 43% in 2011.
By contrast, the CDs’ figure was declined gradually among three years, and finished at 26% in 2011. It can be predicted that the changing of consumer trend or technology trends had significantly impact of money spent on music industry in northern ireland.
