The bar chart compares actual and expected population figures in three cities, namely Jakarta, Sao Paulo, and Shanghai, between 1990 and 2000. The figures were measured in millions.
Overall, it is clear that the actual population is slightly higher than the predicted population in all three cities. Moreover, São Paulo had the highest population throughout the period.
In 1990, Jakarta experienced the lowest figure, with 8 million, while Sao Paulo had the highest population at roughly 17 million by 1990, and Shanghai had around 13 million.
In 2000, all three cities showed a dramatic increase: Jakarta with 13 million, Shanghai with 15 million, and the highest, Sao Paulo, with almost 25 million, respectively. And all these cities are predicted to decrease by the end of 2000. Jakarta was expected to decrease to 11 million. Shanghai also decreased dramatically to 11 million. And Sao Paulo with 22 million.
