Overall, three countries showed an upward trend, albeit with different rates while others showed a downward trend, over the period provided.
Examining the data more closely, Germany’s population dominated and made up 80,6 million which was twice as much as Spain, accounting for 46,6 in 2013. Meanwhile, France’s population is allocated at 65,8 million. However, in Croatia, the population slightly decreased — the previous figure was 4.3 million, while the later one was 4 million in 2021. In 2021, the population of Germany increased barely to 83,2 million. France’s population rose incrementally to 67,7 million while Spain’s population showed nominal growth from 46,6 million to 47,4 million.
In addition, the number of residents in Italy was 60,2 million in 2013. Poland’s population reached 38 million in the same year. Portugal made up 10,5 million which was the lowest proportion in this category in 2013. Regarding the changes, both Italy’s and Poland’s population shrank by different percentages. Clearly, Italy was 59,1 million and 37,7 million. Portugal’s population figure marginally declined, indicating near stability, not constancy in 2021.
