The line graph illustrates the number of information requests made through three different methods at a Tourist Information Office in the UK from January to June.
Overall, with the exception of by-letter-or-email request, all of the ways to gain information saw a sharp increase. Morever, it is clear that while most citizens preferred to make information requests either by telephone or in person, email was the least used method throughout the period. Additionally, in-person requests became the most popular method over time.
In January, in-person requests were the least frequent, with only 400 inquiries. This number gradually increased to 600 in February and then surged to a peak of around 1900 in June. Telephone inquiries started at about 900 in January, dipped slightly to 800 in February, but then rose rapidly to 1600 by the end of the period.
In contrast, email requests began at nearly 800 in January. This figure declined steadily to approximately 700 in February and then dropped significantly to under 400 by June.
