The given column chart illustrates the amount of idle time men and women have when doing different jobs in 1998- 1999.
A glance at the graphs reveals that male did not participate in part-time work and housework. Morever, their leisure time was always more than female in the same field of employment, such as : full time working, unemployed and retired.
It is clearly observed that the two groups with the most free time were the unemployed and the retired. The idle time of the unemployed was highest from 78% to 85%. Retirees ẹnoyed a long retirement span of about 78% for women and 83% for men. Full-time workers had much less leisure time than unemployed and retired people, with men and women having 45% and 38% of leisure time respectively.
According to the chart, only women participated in part-time jobs and housework in 1998-1999; however, their leisure time was quite equal to full-time workers. Women who worked part-time had only about 40% less leisure time than men who worked full-time. Housewives got equal time off from work, about 50%.
