Overall, financial services remained the highest paid sector, whereas tourism consistently accounted for the least paid one. In comparison, all jobs experienced a pay raise in 10 years, except for tourism. The average income for all workers also soar throughout.
Employees working in financial services were paid, in average, around 110-120 thousand USD in a year. In 10 years, their annual salaries considerably jumped to around 120-140 thousand USD. People who work in administration, telecommunications, transport and retails, similarly saw an upward trend in the in the amount of money earned. However, not only that administrators made less than half of those working in financial services, but their yearly salary had also been stuck in 40-60 thousand range in 10 years.
In contrast, people working with tourist was paid more back in 2000 compared with 2010. In 2000, they received 20 thousand USD in 12 months period. In 10 years, they received less than that amount.
In terms of the average, there was a notable growth of the average salary in all sectors. The average salary in 2000 was 44 thousand USD, and in 10 years it increased to 50 thousand USD per year, a more than one-tenth surge.
