Overall, there were varying trends across the three territories. The “Car Theft” category increased,”Burglary” decreased with some fluctuations, while “Robbery” decreased over time.
As the line graph illustrates, the “Burglary”started at around 3,500,000 in 2003 followed by a huge decrease to less than 1,500,000 in 2008. Then, it increased steadily until it fell to just over 1,000,000 in 2012.
Moreover,the “Car Theft” in 2003 has approximately between 2,000,000 and 2,500,000. This figure fell to about 2,000,000 in 2008, but then the number of crime growth to less than 3,000,000 in 2012.
By contrast,”Robbery” was the lowest amount among the others. In 2003,less than 1,000,000, but this number fell to about 500,000 in 2008. Then,before witnessing steady growth again to less than 1,000,000 in 2011 and 2012, respectively.
