On the contrary, categories that did not attract American people to work this year were “Education training” and “Hotel industry”. In contrast, in 2013, almost all areas of employment increased in popularity with the exception of “Medical” and “Business”.
Looking at the details, a significant change was seen in two employment categories such as “Self employed” and “Unemployed”. For instance, while in 2003 these categories had slightly more than 10 million workers, in 2013 they already had more than 30 million adult workers. However, the category that lost popularity was medicine; whereas other areas of employment increased by 20 million, it lost 10 million. Apart from this, “Education training”, “Hotel industry” and “Building” gained popularity. For example, the first category increased its number from less than 10 million to nearly 20 million. The second had the same progression that increased significantly like the first. The third had a population of more than 20 million.
