The bar chart illustrates information about the percentage of Canadian boys and girls who achieved selected physical activity criteria of at least 30 and 60 minutes per day across different numbers of days per week.
Overall, it is clear that boys were more active than the girls in all categories, and more children met the 30 minute requirement than the 60 minute one.Additionally, the percentages decreased as the number of days increased.
For at least 1 day per week, 97% of boys and 93% of girls achieved 30 minutes, while the figure for boys for 60 minutes accounted for 85% and for girls it was 74%.A similar pattern can be seen for 3 days, the figures were lower compared to the first day, at least for 30 minutes there was 83% of boys and 73% of girls which was about 10% lower than for boys, and for 60 minutes it was 53% of male and 35% of female.
In contrast to the first two, 6 days per week was the lowest. 29% of boys achieved 30 minutes per day, and 21% of girls achieved the same, whereas only 9% of boys and 4% of girls reached 60 minutes
