The line graph provides data on the number of international students who studied at UK university over 20-year period between 1995 and 2015.
In general, the figure for Asian students ranked first throughout the span, while that for African students stood last. Although, Europeans students initially was the second highest in number, it was overtaken by North American students between the last 5 years towards the end of the survey.
Asian students quantity primarily stood at 60, rising rather steadily until 2000 when it reached 70. After a sudden surge in 2010, it continued to rise steadily for another 5 years to reach a high of 120 in 2015. In comparison, the figure of students came from North America remained stable at 40 from 1995 to 2000, after which it dropped slightly to about 38 before increasing gently in 2010, followed by another steep incline to 70 in the final year.
The index for European students was 50 in the beginning, which fluctuated briefly returning to its original level in the whole timeline. In contrast, African students’ number was 20 in 1995, and it levelled of over a decade. Despite growing by 10 in 2010, the figure for African students suffering a marginal dip, returning to its initial figure in the end.
