The line graph displays the number of shops that were closed and opened in one country in the years 2011 to 2018.
Overall/ in general, the trends of both shop openings and closures fluctuated over the analyzed years.
In terms of the number of new shops, the trend started at the highest point (nearly 9,000) in 2011, then it drastically dropped to 4,000 in the year of 2012. After that, it continuously increased until 2014, before it went down to 4,000 in 2015. The data shows that the trend did not significantly change in 2016 and 2017. Finally, it decreased and reached its lowest point of 3,000 in 2018.
Turning to the amount of the closed shops, the trend was begun at the point of over 6,000 in 2011. It slightly decreased in 2012, and rose to the summit point of 7000 in the year of
2013. Then, it slightly decreased before it dramatically dropped to the lowest point in 2015, to lower than 1000. It rose again to the point of 5000 in 2016, and finally moved relatively stable throughout the years of 2016 to 2018.
