The pie chart illustrates the age distribution of visitors to a local cinema over the last year.
It is immediately clear that older adults were by far the dominant group, accounting for 51% of total visitors. The next largest proportion was teenagers aged 10 to 15, who represented 21%, while those aged 16 to 20 made up a smaller but still notable 15%.
By contrast, young adults and middle-aged viewers attended far less frequently. People aged 21 to 30 comprised only 8% of cinema-goers, and the 31 to 45 age bracket was the least represented at a mere 5%.
Overall, the data show that the cinema attracted a predominantly older audience, with more than half of all visits coming from people over 55. Attendance declined steadily through the younger adult categories, suggesting that both the very young and the elderly were more active cinema patrons than those in their twenties and thirties.
