The line graph below presents the percentage of forest-covered land in four countries from 1600 to 2000. Overall, The four countries-USA, France, Scotland, and UK- have initially a downward trend but then rise in the end of period.
Initially in 1600, The United States and Britain had number of forest which covered their land for about 48% and 15%, respectively. Along the periods, the two countries land experienced a gradual decrease in number of forest each up to 33% in 1900 and 5% in 1800. Nevertheless, it was elevated to 35% and 9%, respectively. However, the gap between both countries was far.
Similarly, France and Scotland also showed a common drop, from around 28% in 1600 to the lowest value (14%) in 1850 and from 5% in 1600 to the lowest value (4%) in 1700, respectively. While they were decreasing in that periods, but then increase steadily to 30% and 18% in 2000. However, the gap between the two countries is not as far as USA and UK.
