The line graph compare the forest coverage percentage in England, Scotland, France and United States over of period of 400 years.
It is clear that percentage of people in United State by far the highest over period shown. Despite the fact that forest coverage percentage in both four countries were continuous decline at the most of time, it show the rising trend at the last period of 100 years.
During 1600 to 1850, the population of four countries continuous decline follow the same trend of the percentage of land that was covered by forest, the percentage of people in United States decreased from almost 50% to 35%, other countries’ percentage of people include England, Scotland and France both below 15%.
In 1900, the percentage of people and forest coverage percentage in four countries increased gradually except in France, with a significant increase in population and forest coverage percentage from 15% below to 30%, become the second highest. The figures of Scotland overtook the figures of England at this period and has obvious distance from England at 2000.
