The bar chart illustrates the percentages of citizens in six different age groups who visited at least one museum in 2006, 2011, and 2016.
Overall, individuals aged 55-64 had the highest percentage of museum visits in both 2006 and 2011, while those aged 65 and above consistently accounted for the lowest percentages. By 2016, however, the highest proportion of visitors shifted to the 35-44 age group.
In 2006, the 55-64 age group recorded the highest percentage of museum visitors, at approximately 40%. In contrast, both the 35-44 and 45-54 age groups had the lowest participation, each at around 20%. By 2011, the trend remained similar, with the 55-64 age group leading at 35%. Interestingly, the 25-34, 35-44, and 45-54 age groups all recorded identical percentages of 30%. In 2016, the pattern changed as the 35-44 age group peaked at nearly 37%, with a slight decline observed in older age groups, particularly after age 45.
