The line graph illustrates the percentage of people who visited four different attractions (aquarium, castle, zoo, and festival) in Scotland between 1980 and 2010.
Overall, it is clear that the castle was the most visited attraction during the period. Conversely, the aquarium had the lowest attendance by the end of the period, while the number of zoo visitors fluctuated throughout. Meanwhile, festival attendance remained relatively stable over time.
Focusing on the aquarium and the castle as attractions, they accounted for 20% and 22% of visitors, respectively, in 1980. The aquarium then peaked at 35% in 1985 before falling dramatically to about 10% in the final year. Likewise, the number of castle visitors increased steadily, reaching its highest point at around 45% in 1995, before declining to approximately 35% by the end of the period.
On the other hand, the zoo in Scotland started at approximately 10% in 1980 and experienced fluctuations throughout the period. However, from 2000 onwards, it began to rise, peaking at 20% in 2010. Meanwhile, the festival was the most popular attraction at the beginning, with around 30% of visitors, but its attendance gradually declined over time.
