The bar chart shows how many kilometers passengers travelled by five different transport vehicles (bicycle, motorbike, air, bus, and rail)in the UK between 1990 and 2000, as well as the total distance travel.
Overall, the total number of trips increased between 1990 and 2000, with bus and rail being the most widely used modes of transport. While air travel experienced a slight rise, bicycle and motorbike usage remained minimal.
The distance travel by bicycle, motorbike and air was significantly lower compared to other types of transportation. In 1990 bicycle and motorbike covered approximately 10 billion kilometers. After a decade, both transportation decreased from about 4 billion kilometers. In contrast, air travel grows from 2 billion kilometers to around 7 billion.
The distance covered by bus and rail was shown higher. The bus rose to 40 billion kilometers but rail showed smaller than bus around 35 although this process also showed in 2000. Bus and rail 42 and 38 billion kilometers respectively. As a result of these changes, the total distance increased from approximately 110 billion kilometers about 115.
