The chart illustrates different age groups in India and France in 1984.
On the graph, it is clear that India has a younger age group than France, but otherwise, France has an elderly population group.
In India, we can notice that the 0-25 age population was a huge percentage in the chart, both male and female. And then it remains stable in the middle age group. On the other hand, France’s age group was on average. However, there is a significant difference that has to be demonstrated between the two charts: France has a larger elderly age group than India, around 40% of the population. But India had more young blood in its population and maintained half of the residents.
If analyzed in detail, especially in gender, in France females were an important group, around age 70-75 females were 3 percent more than males. But looking back on India’s elderly group population the ratio of men and women is balanced.
