Overall, it is clear that spending on teacher salaries, technology, and insurance saw an upward trend, while the buget for other workers’ salaries, books, and furniture and equipment exhibited opposite trend. In addition, the largest proportion of budget was allocated for salaries of teachers and other workes.
On the one hand, the largest amount of money was spent on teacher salaries and other workers’ salaries. In 1990, starting at 40%, the percentage of spending on teacher salaries was the highest among all categories, which was about 10% more than that of the second category, other workers’ salaries, 28%. The allocated budget for the former category increased, while the later decreased to end up at 45% and 15% in 2010, respectively.
On the other hand, for other categories the amount of budget was lower. In 1990, the percentages of budget for furniture and equipment and books were 14% and 15%, respectively, where as, the former experienced a significat drop, 1%, and the later witnessed a gradual drop at 9%, after a minimal rise in 2000. The technology and insurance categories was the lowest, surging to end up at 20% and 8%, respectively.
