The bar chart illustrates housing types of adults aged 25-34 In the UK. It is, overall, clear that as time passed, number of house decreased, whereas amount of renters showed an Increasing trend. By the end of the period, renters overtook house owners in number.
In 2004, house owners (about 60%) were as three times as many compared to renters (about 20%). Amount of house owners decreased steadily in the next 2 years, and renters increased slightly in number. By 2007, both house owners and renters went up in percentage
respectively, to about 57% and 27% respectively. By 2009, renters have climbed to over 30% and house owners have dropped to approximately 50%
In the following years, renters closed up on house owners in percentage. Individuals who own a house continued to decline and people who rent their houses rose. Surprisingly, the numbers for 2011 and 2012 have stayed unchanged. Nevertheless, the year after, renters went ahead of house owner, about 45%, compared to house owners at 40%. By the end of the period, renters were a little shy of 50%, while the numbers were just over 35% for home owners
