Notably, while the flights from Sydney witnessed high stability, the Melbourne-to-Sydney route experienced more frequent price adjustments.
Regarding the first week, the ticket prices for flights departing from Sydney and Melbourne on Monday were $80 and $60, respectively. Over the following three days, airfares on both routes remained relatively stable, at around $35-$40. On Friday, the airline charged the highest price for flights from Melbourne to Sydney, at $80, while passengers travelling from Sydney to Melbourne paid around $75. This was followed by a significant decrease in both ticket prices, which fell to $50 on Sunday.
Turning to the second week, ticket prices on Monday dropped markedly by $20-30 across both routes. Thereafter, the fares from Tuesday to Thursday remained almost identical to those recorded in the first week. While the Sydney-to-Melbourne route maintained the same fares over the last three days, the return route peaked at $60 on Friday before falling to $50 on both Saturday and Sunday.
