The following pie charts portray the distribution of world spending by commodity and world population by region. There are two remarkable features of the data, those are, the biggest spending of global citizens is other goods and the most populated continent in the world is Asia.
First, in regards to world spending, most of them is primarily concentrated in other commodity, contributed to 40 percent to the total world consumption. The second largest of global community spending is food by almost a quarter, followed by transport and housing by 18 percent and 12 percent, respectively. Lastly, the least proportion is clothing with the share of spending is only 6 percent to the total global expenditure.
Second, in terms of the world population, majority of people reside in Asia as reflected by the proportion that reaches more than a half to the total global population. The rest of population is distributed proportionally in Europe and Americas by 14 percent in each continent, then followed by Africa and other region in small percentage by 10 percent and 5 percent respectively.
