Overall, the locations of dance classes are categorized into two main places: halls and studios which is the predominant location.In terms of dance lesson types, the adolescents aged between 11 and 16 prefer to learn modern dance, while the most number of teenagers aged under 11 learn ballet.
The pie chart illustrates the locations of dance classes. The studios are the main location at totally 58%. Specifically, the proportion of private studios is highest at 48%, becoming the major choice in the town, with small affected by college-based ‘s 10%. Conversely, there is rest proportion for halls and others. School halls’ proportion is half of that of private studios, while it is only 3% more than that of community halls.
The bar chart indicates the types of dance classes for teenagers. 600 students aged under 11 learn ballet, twice more than those who learn modern dance, becoming highest groups among all age group. In the groups aged between 11 and 16, the number of student learning modern dance however is the largest at 510, 200 people more than those learning ballet. The number of students learning tap is approximately equal to that of those aged under 11, around 450 people.
