The bar chart compares the figure for life expectancy in four different countries from 1996 to 2008. Overall, while Indonesia recorded by far the highest rise, it was still the lowest figure by the end of the period given.
In 2008, the trend for Japan stood at 82,7 years and out-lived its counterparts. While Indonesia recorded 70,9 years, this figure was considerably lower than that for Korea with 79,2 years. Elderly people from the US reached 77,2 years of lifetime in the same year.
As for the increases from 1996 to 2008, the numbers in the charts changed noticeably. The figure for Indonesian people grew by 14,1 years, which was the largest increase between all figures. Japanese and American elderly people’s life expectancy rose almost identical, with 5,1 former and 3,2 latter, respectively. After increasing substantially by 9,3 years, the figure for Korea was the second of the longest life expectancy.
