The diagram illustrates the different ages of the population in the two countries Yemen and Italy from 2000 to 2050.
When it comes to Yemen, it shows an increase of 15-59 year olds. Where it was 46.3% in 2000 jumping to 57.3% in 2050. This causes a dip in the percentage of 0-14 year olds, going from 50.1% in the 2000s to 37.0% by 2050. Where as over 60 year olds show a steady increase by 2050.
However, in Italy, the ages of 15-59 have seen a significant decrease by 2050, going from 61.6% in 2000 to a staggering 46.2%. Although, this led to a shift in the percentage of over 60 year olds, causing a increase of 42.3% in 2050. In addition, the ages of 0-14 have seen a slow change.
Overall, this shows that yemen and Italy’s data are the complete opposite when it comes to to the increase and decrease of their age groups. Yet, they have the similar steady pace of the ages over 60 by 2050.
