The chart illustrates the number of populations by age, in Yemen and Italy in 2000 and future estimations for 2050.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that people those aged 15-59 years are projected to be higher in both Yemen and Italy. The populations of both countries show significant changes in 2050.
As the diagram suggest, about half of Yemen population was the youngest age bracket at 50.1%, in 2000 and this number is predicted to decrease by 37% in2050. The figure for those aged 15-59 years population will experience a 10% increase, representing 57.3% in 2050. A slight growth of around 2% is anticipated in people over 60s.
Moving on to Italy, almost a quarter of citizens with age over 60, is forecasted to be an increase to 42.3% in 2050. The youngest age group population was 14.3% in 2000 and will be 11.5% in
2050. Although the number of people those aged 15-59 years is predicted to be decreased in the future, at 46.2%, it still remained as largest aged group over the period.
