In terms of proportion of films released, drama got the big shoot in both 1996 and 2000 with 25% and 35% respectively. In the second place came comedy with 20% in 1996 and 25% in 2000, and following the dropping lines fantasy movies were released with a proportion of about 10% in 1996 and around 15% in 2000, then at the bottom of the line romance films were producted with 5% in each year.
In terms of ticket sales, people bought more comedy tickets 20% 0f the total in 1996 and 25% in 2000. In addition, a smaller group of people bought drama ticket with around 15% in 1996 and about 17% in 2000, while fewer number of audiences liked to watch fantasy (3% in 1996 and 7% in 2000) or romance (5% in 1996 and 2% in 2000).
