The pie charts compare the proportion of transport modes used in four different sectors in Cambridge, UK between 2008 and 2018.
It can clearly seen that cycling and walking gained more popularity, while the use of cars and buses witnessed a significant decline throughout the given time period.
In 2008, the transport mode of cars was morr popular with 42%, following this 30% was for buses which maintained the second position in this given time. However, both transport modes decreased, in 2018. The percentage of cars lost popularity considerably at 20%, and buses displayed a minimal drop by 5% in this period.
In the remaining categories, a notable increase took place in the figure for cycling and walking. Although, bicycles were not much preferred transport mode with 17% in 2008, this proportion rise dramatically and reached at the first place with 30% in 2018. Moreover, the percentage for walking was 11% in 2008, this figure became doubled (25%) in 2018.
