The four Pie Charts compare the percentage of students using five using 5 different modes of transportation to commute in the UK and USA in the years 2010 and 2015.
It is clear that the proportion of students traveling by car slightly increased in both the UK and USA from 2010 to 2015. By contrast, the percentage of students who used buses declined significantly over the same period.
In 2010, both countries’ students’ used car was 2,017% in the UK and 29% in the USA, and this figure increased to 20, 31, and 35%, respectively. Between 2010 and 2015, the proportion of student cycle users increased from 17% to 21% in the UK, and 15% to 20% in the USA, a rise of 4% in five years. There was an increase in the percentage of students who used walk to reach university from 15% to 18% in the UK, and 10% to 11% in the country of USA. The remaining transportation between 2010 and 2015, there was an increase of 7% of students bus users in the UK from 33% to 27% in the USA, and 27% to 24% in the U.S., respectively. The percentage of taxi users decreased from 8% to 4%, a fall of 4% in the UK, and in the USA students who used taxis decreased slightly from 19% to 10% in the over the same period.
