The line graphs depict details how to change possession of electrical appliances namely; washing machine, refrigerator, and vacuum cleaner and the spending time of housework in houses in one country between 1920 and 2019.
Overall, while ownership of the electrical appliances increased, the working hours per week in households decreased. Furthermore, washing machines, which was the dominant electrical appliances in 1920 became the less population appliance at the end of the period.
First and foremost, the ownership percentage of both washing machines and vacuum cleaners reported below 50% at the start of the period and both gradually increased to nearly three quarter until 1960. Then, possession of vacuum cleaners surpassed the ownership of washing machines in 1960 and continue its growth till 2000, where its highest.Meanwhile, washing machine owners percentage remained constant, although there was a small dip from 1960 to 1980. However, refrigerators ownership started from ground level in 1920 and sharply increased unttill 1980 for highest value of 100% and flattened for next 39 years.
On the other hand, hours for spending on houseworks gradually decreased from 50 hours per week to 10 hours for week over the given period.
