The pie charts give data about the origination of water in the world distributed to three main sources. Additionally, the bar chart indicates the allocation of these sources into use in three nations.
Overall, the fresh water holding a small quantity in total versus the saline, is supplied massively by melting ice and glaciers. Moreover, agriculture can be considered as the major water – consuming aspect in Egypt and Saudi Arabia while the industry in Canada got this preference.
Regarding the pie chart, saline water, which accounts for 97% of water, dominates the amount of water in the world while the figure for fresh water is only 3%. This 3% of water mainly exists in the form of ice and glaciers. Specifically, 79% of fresh water comes from the aforementioned source. Meanwhile, ground water provides 20% of freshwater and the rest rooted from surface water.
While agriculture in Egypt and Saudi Arabia consumes nearly 80%, as an industrial-based country Canada allocates the same amount into industry. This opposition then results in smaller industrial water use in Egypt and Saudi Arabia which is about 8% and 10% respectively. Similarly, the percentage of agricultural water use in Canada is narrowed down to 10%. However, water used for domestic purposes are approximate, about 13% in Egypt and Saudi Arabia and 11% in Canada.
