the given bar graph indicates the levels of participation in both education and science in both developing and industrialised nations in 1980 and 1990.
as can be seen from the graph, people in developing countries spend slightly more than 2 years in school while, people ind industriaised countries spend 4 times more than that of developing countries in 1980. in 1990 the figure for developing countries rose slightly but had a noticable increase in case of industrialised countries.
it is evident from the graph that developing countries have fewer scientists and technitians per 1000 people in the year 1980,which is only fourth of the tota figure in industrialised countries in the same year, over the course of a decade. the figures for industrialised ones had a significant increase while, it remained almost the same for developing nations.
the amount spend by industrialised nations on research and development was just about 200 billion us dollors in 1980 as opposed to only 50 billion us dollors by their poorer counterparts. in the next 10 years, by 1990, the amount spent by developing countries shrunk wehn it sky rocketed in cse of developed nations.
overall, it is clear from the grapg=h that developed countries put more effort in expanding people’s participation in science and education compared to others.
