Overall, analyzing the three charts, there has been a rather significant increase in the year 1990, especially when it comes to the industrialized countries.
Further understanding the first chart, in the year 1980, the average years of schooling in developing countries were 3 years which seemed to have slightly increased to approximately 4 years in 1990. Whereas, when it came to industrialized countries, in the year 1980, the average was almost 9 years bordering towards 11 years in the year 1990.
The number of scientists and technicians per 1000 people in developing countries were 10 per 1000 people in the year 1980 but steadily increased to 15 per 1000 people within a decade. When it came to the industrialized countries, the numbers started at 40 per 1000 people in 1980 and steadily went up to a 70 per 1000 people in 1990.
Finally, the spendings on research and development cost about 30 billion dollars in 1980 and lowered all the way down to 10 billion dollars in the developing countries. The industrialized countries in the year 1980 were at 150 billion dollars and went uphill all the way to a whopping 350 billion dollars in a decade.
