The two charts illustrate trends in Japanese tourism over a ten year period between 1985 and 1995. The first chart presents the total number of Japanese citizens travelling overseas, while the second chart highlights Australia’s proportion of this tourist market during the same time frame. In my essay , I will describe both of charts.
The first chart shows information about number of people that travelled abroad between 1985 and 1995. Looking that , Japanese people improved their tourism year to year. For example , in 1985 the number of people was approximately 2millions . After 10 years , the total number of visitors changed to nearly 16 millions. But there we have some mistakes during 1 year from 1990. Because between that time , the tourism decreased and the volume of travellers fallen down .
The second figure demonstrates some facts about percentages of coming to Australia. We know that , between that years persentages increased and Australias share of tourists traveling abroad grew up. For instance ,in 1985 persentage was only 2 , but at the end sinificantely increased to 6. However , there was some problems between 1988-89 and 1984-85. The persentages was slightly decreased approximately 1 percentage.
Overall, the number of Japanese tourists travelling abroad rose steadily throughout the period, showing a significant increase between 1985 and 1995. At the same time, Australia’s share of this market also grew, reaching a peak in the early 1990s before experiencing a slight decline towards the end of the decade.
