Over 20 years of observation from 1994 to 2014, the employment rate in Australia fluctuates. It varies between genders and three age groups.
Most of the employed men age range around 40-55 years old over the years. They dominated the job market by 90% and stayed constant. Followed by age group 35-39 years old which were constant at 60% in 1994 and 2001, but slightly dropped to 50% in 2014. This drop was followed by the increase of older workers aged 60-70 years old, which rose from 40% to 60% by 2014.
The amount of employed women age 35-39 years old stayed constant around 60% every years of observation. While the number of employed women age 40-55 years old rose from 1994 to 2014. It peaked at 90% by 2014. Same goes for the age group 60-70 which percentage significantly increased from 10% in 1994 to 40% in 2014. Overall, the amount of employed women showed positive trend over the years.
