Overall, self-help books were the most popular category among both age groups, while science fiction books attracted the fewest readers. However, biographies were more favored by people aged 26-34, whereas younger people showed a stronger preference for novels.
Among readers aged 18-25, more than half (58%) preferred self-help books, far exceeding biographies (10%) and novels (23%). Notably, with the proportion at 9%, science fiction books became the least favored category in this group.
In contrast, despite being the most favored books, self-help books dropped 16% in the 26-34 age group, compared to the other ones. Meanwhile, biographies showed a significant rise to 31%, surpassing novels, which accounted for 20%. Similarly, science fiction books were the least preferred category in this group, with a slightly lower 7% compared to the younger group.
