Overall, it is evident that fitness and dance held the largest share initially, but it was eventually taken by IT. Notably, there was a downward trend observed in almost all figures, except for cookery and fitness and dance, which increased or stabilized.
Modern languages, art and local history showed a decrease in their proportion. Modern languages were the second most prevalent course among students, with 24%, after which, however, it fell by 7%. Similarly, there was a slight drop from 17% to 15% recorded in the figure for art. Finally, local history illustrated 17% students registering, but it was later modified to IT – accompanying with a growth of 27%.
Concerning the remaining categories, music appreciation was eliminated thereafter, although it recorded 8% students involving in 1985. Additionally, while cookery showed a sharp increase from 14% to 19%, fitness and dance remained unchanged 22% throughout the period.
