The pie charts indicate the proportion of students engaging different courses at an adult education in the year 1985 and this year.
As an overall trend, it can be seen that the change of courses regarding technology with IT having new courses, which takes up the highest number of students. Meanwhile, other courses namely music appreciation and local history were eliminated, whereas fitness and dance remained unchanged. Additionally, cookery courses showed a slightly upward trend.
In the first year of the given period, the percentage of learners taking the modern language ranked first among all examined categories with 24%, followed by fitness and dance at approximately 22%. Besides, 17% was seen in students participants in art courses, compared to 15% of local history. Furthermore, cookery and music appreciation showed unpopular with 14% and 8%, perspectively.
In this year, IT courses have appeared and accounted for the largest share with 27% of the total students. Additionally, fitness and dance have remained unchanged at 22% compared to 1985. Moreover, the figure for cookery courses have witnessed a significantly increased to 19%, while modern language and art have showed an opposite trend with slightly fall to 17% and 15%, respectively, which have made up the lowest proportion.
